Hello,
Travis Newton and I are planning the 4th annual Scholar's Day with the
Syracuse Symphony Orchestra. We are looking at the date of Friday,
November 21, 2008. As always, teachers will be able to attend the SSO's
open rehearsal. On November 21st, you will be treated to rehearsals of
Beethoven's 5th Symphony, Strauss' Don Juan and a Berg Violin Concerto
with soloist Leila Josefowicz - she astounded us with her performance at
the Scholar's Day 2 years ago. Maestro Daniel Hege will speak to the
group, and hopefully join us for lunch.
We are asking for some input from you:
How is the date - November 21 - for your schedules?
We are looking for music teachers to volunteer to help us plan teacher
workshops - could any of you spare us some time?
Thanks - we are looking forward to another wonderful Scholar's day with
the SSO!
