[OCMEA] upcoming clinic and concert

Music Educators,

 

Just a reminder that the world's finest trombonist/educator will be in
Syracuse on Saturday, May 3rd, and will conduct a free trombone clinic in
the Imperial Ballroom of the Hotel Syracuse at 3pm that day. His name is
Michael Davis, publisher of "Hip-Bone" brass method books, tour veteran for
everyone from Buddy Rich to Paul Anka to Frank Sinatra, and current member
of the Rolling Stones.

 

Please urge your students to attend this FREE clinic. We urge you to attend
as well. Those of you who remember his IAJE-supported clinic at the Winter
Conference two years back know of his great ability to communicate with and
inspire students.

 

That evening at 8pm, the CNYJO Concert Series closes in concert with
Michael. The first half of the event will be devoted to titles from their
debut CD/DVD release, "Then, Now & Again" which will be on sale at the
concert. Tickets to that event are available at 435-2121, and group sales
for your school are available by calling our offices at 479-JAZZ (5299).
There is a $5 individual ticket student discount.
