[OCMEA] free clinic this Saturday!

Music Educators,

 

This Saturday October 27th at 3pm in the Persian Terrace of the Hotel
Syracuse, 250 S. Warren St., renowned saxophonist and educator Antonio Hart
will give a one hour improvisation clinic that is free and open to the
public. Selected local students will be performing in a master class
setting. Enter through the Warren St. doors. The Persian Terrace is up the
stairs on your left, off the main lobby. DOWNTOWN PARKING IS FREE.

 

Mr. Hart is full-time Professor at the Aaron Copland College of Music at
Queens College, one of the most competitive jazz studies programs in the
country. As a performer, he presently records as a leader, and is a member
of the Dizzy Gillespie All-Stars and Dave Holland Big Band. For many years
he toured with Roy Hargrove.

 

Please inform your students of this valuable opportunity! Tickets for the
8pm concert are still available; $5 discount with student I.D. The CNYJO
will be recording live tracks for their upcoming CD/DVD that evening in what
will be an exciting event. Tickets are available at 435-2121.
