[OCMEA] Tuba Christmas 2007

Hello!

This year's Syracuse Area Tuba Christmas is on Saturday, December 15th at
Shoppingtown Mall. The performance is at 3 p.m., with registration
beginning at 1 and rehearsal starting at 1:30. Registration and rehearsal
will take place at Shoppingtown Mall as well, in the old Waldenbooks
store. Baritone and tuba players of all ages are encouraged to come and
participate! The attachment has more information; please feel free to
print it and distribute it or post it in your school. The registration fee
is $5 and music is available for $12. I have had 5th and 6th grade
students participate with good success-- the music is written with two
baritone parts on the top staff and two tuba parts on the bottom staff. In
years past, we have had as many as 120 people playing-- it sounds pretty
cool and is a lot of fun.
